What is MyStep?

MyStep is an environmentally conscious, sustainable, and creative alternative to the modern power generation process. By embedding piezo discs into our mycelium bricks, we aim to create small amounts of electricity in high traffic areas by harvesting the kinetic energy from footsteps.

How does it work?

The piezo discs create small amounts of electricity when compressed/bent. The discs are embedded inside mycelium bricks to be set as floor tiles. When someone walks over the tile it compresses/bends the disc creating electricity.
